Magu I gave it to my nephew for his birthday. He expected a better product. I believe it is too expensive for what it really is.

Leo's Mom We bought this to use with a Halloween costume. My son hasn't stopped playing with it since we bought it! His imagination has run wild and we love that.

The ToyGuy If you're like me, you are looking at this product for a Minecraft crazed child. I know that Minecraft is everywhere now, and for the most part it is all overpriced, in my opinion.

With that said, my 6 year old is in love with this game. I would go so far as to say obsessed! He has been wanting this sword and the pick ax since he first saw them. And of course he wants the Toys R Us exclusive "Diamond" versions. So when I saw them on sale for $17.49 I jumped on them.

As for the product itself, it is exactly what it's supposed to be. A soft toy meant to be used and abused. I gave him the sword right away and he will get the ax for Christmas. It is made pretty well and it is being used almost every day. We have had soft play toys before, and I would say this one rates near the top.

In conclusion, its a great product and if you can get them on sale, they are well worth it. And you will make your Minecraft Kid very happy!

Dad of 7 and 10 yr olds I had been resisting buying these for my 7 yr old son because they seemed like overpriced marketing gimmicks. I had expected cheap foam that would disintegrate within minutes. Finally gave in & bought 2 so he could play with a friend.

Surprised by the quality. They seem to have a rigid plastic core and the foam is denser and thicker than I had expected. Kids have been playing with them for almost a week now and they're still in one piece. I still believe the value proposition is dubious and they might get bored with them soon but turned out to be better than expected. I would caution that the points can hurt more than you might think due to the stiff foam.

Toys r us was surprisingly the cheapest when I was searching on line and the free store pick up was great. Saved shipping and I was able to grab them the same day I ordered them.

Taxi Mom I got 2 of these Minecraft Foam Swords for my 2 boys (7&9). They loved them, but first of all, they're EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE for just a big hunk of foam. Second, the handle comes off way too easily. I'd suggest that they be made of one complete piece of foam, then insert the plastic rod for stability. Instead, it's made of 2 separate pieces which are glued together. The manufacturer should consider that rough little boys are going to be swinging them around & probably hitting things with 'em. Need to be much more durable.

Thanks! :)

my boys keep me young My youngest is very into minecraft. This sword he saw the last time I had taken him to toyrus. Yes its a video game toy but also something he can run around with and not break anything or hurt him self. Not bad pricing (I personally got it on sale) so over all he's going to be excited about it and I got to make that happen. He's not actually played with it BC its a christmas present but I did take a swing with it, with the husband and it held up just fine.

mom of three boys What we like about this sword is that it looks exactly like the diamond sword in mine craft. You can hang it on the wall as a decoration in a mine craft themed room or it is strong enough for rough sword play. We also like that if you choose to play with it as a sword, it is foam and not plastic, making misplaced blows less catastrophic :) overall we are extremely pleased with our $15 purchase!!

The Saver My daughter is a HUGE Minecraft fan and when she received a gift card for her birthday recently, we headed straight to Toys-R-Us! This diamond sword was just as she had imagined and it doesn't lack in the quality department! I assumed it would be made of foam but it's actually pretty sturdy and has already taken a ton of abuse! While I don't typically purchase pretend weapons for my child, this item has been entertaining and has caused no injuries so I have and will recommend this to any Minecraft fan!

Autumn This was a Christmas present for my 8 yr. old son, who LOVES Minecraft. Since receiving this gift, he takes it everywhere he goes. The sword is sturdy and made out of foam so there's no concern about him hurting himself or something else, and he can bring the fantasy world of Minecraft to the real world. Highly recommend this product if you're looking for a little piece of the game to bring into real life.
